WORKSHOPS & VISITS

I love facilitating workshops & visiting schools and libraries.
Taking part in events is so much fun because that’s when I interact and draw with children, getting them excited about reading, visual storytelling and art!

I offer a variety of workshops based around creativity and books filled with interaction + brainstorming (including tips on how to improve their own drawing skills). I believe drawing is a mean of self-expression, without judgment. Everyone can draw!

My events and workshops are delivered in person or virtually and adapted to suit your needs, so they are always extra special!

Tarsila Krüse led a wonderfully insightful workshop at the National Gallery of Ireland. Tarsila has a natural ability to keep children engaged and demonstrated in an easy to follow way, how characters can come into being. She invited participants to draw along with her too. The session was greatly enjoyed by children, parents and grandparents alike. We would have no hesitation in hiring Tarsila again in the future.

Tarsila tailored the workshop for us specifically, she was extremely accommodating and pleasant to deal with, I will be booking her again in the future!
— Aoife O'Toole - dlr Mill Theatre
Tarsila is a talented illustrator in her field, who displays remarkable depth and versatility in her work and is incredible at adapting her experience to any brief. More than that, she’s wonderful to work with and has a lovely way of engaging and interacting with students of all ages on a very personable level, translating difficult concepts, such as the artistic process, into easily digestible educational and fun activities for all ages
— Shannon Wilson - Education Outreach Officer EPIC Museum
Tarsila is warm, friendly and enthusiastic. Her workshops are a great mix of chat, readings and interactive drawings! Highly recommended!
— Maedhbh Rogan McGann - Cruinniú na nÓg, Creative Ireland
Tarsila was excellent to work from the first contact. While her artwork is charming, we were delighted that she is just as good in her events. The audiences greatly enjoyed the workshops and it was interesting to see how she skilfully worked with children as a sole workshop leader and a collaborator with author Myra Zepf. We knew she’d be super as she was such an excellent and warm communicator. Even her work emails made us smile.
— Ruth Mulhern - Bookville Festival Kilkenny

Tarsila has great engagement with the children. She has given a great explanation on the work of an illustrator and the best part of her workshop was learning how an illustrator draws!
— Bríd O'Sullivan - National Library of Ireland
The workshop was so well facilitated. Tarsila has a lovely manner and engaged all the children by asking questions and getting them involved.

I would definitely recommend her workshop because it is engaging, inclusive and friendly. She gives guidance when asked and the children were very engrossed in the work.
— Parents attending workshop at Baydoyle Library
During Tarsila’s workshop, the children worked collaboratively and enjoyed themselves.

It is an excellent workshop that kept the children engaged throughout.
